Graphic History of Computers
The history of computer graphics has been started since time immemorial that when the Egyptians, Romans and Greeks communicate graphically. Some of the paintings are on the tombstone of the Egyptians can be regarded as a painting technique. The development of computer graphics can simply be divided into four phases, namely:
1. Phase One (1950) Age of interactive computer graphics
· Not so fast because of technology, the number and price of the computer does not support.
· MIT has developed a computer whirlwind with a cathode ray tube (CRT Cathode-Ray Tube).
· It uses a light pen (light pen) is an input device shaped like a pencil that is used to select the position, pointing at something and draw on the screen with the detection of the light coming from points on the CRT screen.
· There has been automated programming tools (Automatic Programming Tool)
2. Phase Two (1960) Age Research / Research of Interactive Computer Graphics
· Interactive Graphic Modern been discovered by Ivan Sutherland.
· Develop interactive techniques by means of a keyboard and a light pen.
· A number of research projects and products Computer Aided Design / Manufacturing (CAD / CAM) has emerged.
3. Third Phase (1970)
· Graphic interactive computer has been used by industry, government and scientists are to improve the quality of product design quickly and easily.
4. The fourth phase (1980-1990)
· Research in the past decade and is based on combining various elements pengotomasasian design and solid modeling (solid modeling).
· Hybrid technology was introduced. This technology is useful for combining with the surface of the solid object.
